The 'DJ, Heidi and Pinotta' tale

So I have this friend DJ who has this friend Heidi. DJ introduced me to Heidi and now we're friends too. DJ is an illustrator and Heidi is a foodie. Heidi decided to open a restaurant and asked DJ to draw some pretty pictures. The illustrations are amazing and so is the restaurant, which by the way is called Pinotta (website coming soon) and opens this weekend (St Georges Road, Fitzroy North). I guess the moral of the story is that whilst I've done nothing to contribute to this creative fusion of art and food, I plan to help contribute to the creative fusion between food and my belly. I love my talented friends. The end.

Amitiwi

Ok ok I know it's freaking freezing outside but if you needed some inspiration to get in shape for summer then this beautiful range from Amitiwi will do the trick. Amitiwi is all Australian, from design to print to construction. For this range, designer Amity Jarvis has collaborated with textile artists of the Tiwi Islands in the Northern Territory to combine contemporary design with traditional Indigenous art. Love.

Jean-Francois Jonvelle

Photos from late French erotic photographer Jean-Francois Jonvelle. This selection of images is slightly less graphic than some of his others but I find these particular photos a lot more suggestive. I think there's more personality and I love his voyeuristic, slightly pervy peek into women's lives. And all of a sudden I feel like milk.
